"Hong Kong Sunset" EP by Codebase on Knightriders Recordings:
Tom Butcher (aka Codebase) joins the Knightriders family and shares a few surprises. Based in Seattle, Butcher’s career was jump-started by a chance encounter with Swayzak, who went on to release two of his tracks on their 240 Volts label. With a release on Force Inc and other techno mainstays, the Codebase modern approach to techno harkens back to the analog days. This peak Summer EP features warm, dark (yet joyful) electronica reminiscences of dance floors decades past. Especially when describing the track entitled "1991" .
A remix of the Title track "Hong Kong Sunset" by Mathew Anderson is included. Mathew Anderson, who recently released his "Messenger" EP on KRecordings early this year, is also a Seattle Techno mainstay. Check out Mathew’s “Messenger” EP here: www.beatport.com/release/messenger/1277792
